Join our team as a Principal Marine Consultant and work on a range of marine projects across sectors such as offshore wind, interconnectors, subsea cables, ports and harbours, and coastal developments.
In this role, you will collaborate with technical experts, including our in-house marine ecology team, within our established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team, which comprises over 165 staff across the UK and Ireland. We are committed to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies and are a founding member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) EIA Quality Mark.
We offer flexible office locations across the UK, including Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London Aldgate, Manchester, Newcastle, and Plymouth, with a hybrid working model.
At AECOM, we lead in delivering marine programs and projects through long-term partnerships, mainly related to power generation (e.g., floating offshore wind), transmission (including international interconnectors), subsea cables, ports, harbours, and coastal developments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Qualifications include a degree in a relevant environmental discipline (preferably a Master’s) and professional membership (Chartered Environmentalist preferred). Essential skills involve comprehensive EIA consultancy experience, knowledge of UK and Ireland marine consenting regimes, project management, and strong communication skills.
