Commercial Team Leader

Are you comfortable with liaising with customers and dealing with enquiries?
Are you a data‑driven individual with working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office or an ERP/MRP system?
Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is currently recruiting for a Planning Team Leader for our client in the Bridgwater area. This is a vital role within the business as you are responsible for sales orders, production schedules and outbound products.

The Role

This is a commercial position, you will be the first point of contact for the company for customers, suppliers, and internal teams. You will lead a team of planners processing orders through the business, assessing capacity for incoming demand, and ensuring enquiries and orders are processed.

  • Manage the team handling sales orders, manufacturing orders, and expedited production orders in the ERP system.
  • Track order statuses, resolve documentation issues, and respond to admin emails.
  • Identify supply and purchasing issues that may impact production, communicating delays as needed.
  • Support data entry, reporting, and monthly KPI tracking.
  • Build strong communication and service relationships with Marketing and other departments.
  • Participate in Sales and Operations calls with Global Supply Chain.
  • Continuously seek efficiency improvements within the team.
  • Monitor on‑time delivery and production lead times.
  • Perform 1 to 1s with team members.
  • Assess and instigate training requirements for the team.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
