About the role

As the UK Field Resource Manager, you will closely performance manage all subcontractor and directly employed electricians and roofing teams and be accountable for Eco2Solar having sufficient capacity for installations across the country at all times to deliver Solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers on over 3,000 houses a month. You will also oversee the installation of future technologies such as Air Source Heat Pumps and will be responsible for finding, onboarding and training future teams.

You will ensure that all installers and engineers have the necessary insurances, qualifications, and certifications to carry out every installation that Eco2Solar undertakes compliantly.

You will be supported by a team of Electrical and Installation Managers who will manage the quality and direct relationships with the installation teams.

Key experience needed:

  • You will have led large field-based engineers/teams previously
  • You will have experience in budgets and cost control
  • You will have proven experience in performance-based management of multiple teams and implementations on incentives
  • You will have experience in finding, recruiting, training and monitoring large installation teams on a national scale

What does great look like?

Capacity planning

Ensuring that we have enough people, in the right locations, doing the right things the right way so that scheduling lead times are always maintained. New build housing developers have specific capacity demands, where volume may increase by x3 times in particular months and you will be responsible for having a core base of installation teams and electricians, whilst providing access to additional teams during peak periods.

Installation costs

Working on pricing strategies for subcontractor or employed teams to deliver all installations within budget and reduce the cost of installation. A performance-related bonus will be in place on achieving the agreed savings.

Productivity

Working with the Electrical and Installation Managers to ensure minimum productivity levels are achieved every day. You will work with the Installations Managers to address any performance-related issues to ensure that attendance and the highest standards are always met.

Customer reviews

You will attend monthly review meetings with Construction Directors on site to conduct performance reviews (ours and theirs) to address and manage any improvements that may be required to achieve high Net Promoter Scores from Site Managers.

Training

You will not be carrying out the training directly but you will be responsible for setting up and managing the process to identify, train and onboard new teams and ensure that all new and existing teams follow a stringent check and ongoing audit process.

Quality

You will be accountable for all installers achieving a monthly "Right First Time" quality audit score of 100% and will work with your Installation Managers to identify any training requirements for installation teams.
