A local council in the UK is seeking a Specialist Project Lead to transform Alternative Education Provision. This role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and key stakeholders to ensure that children and young people access suitable education that meets their needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the education landscape and excellent communication skills to drive systemic changes. Join a supportive team and make a difference in the community.
If you’re someone who has experience of implementing projects in the education sector, and how multi-disciplinary teams can improve outcomes for children and young people, then this could be the role for you.
We’re looking for a Specialist Project Lead to support the next phase of our exciting project to transform Alternative Education Provision across North East Lincolnshire which will ensure children and young people are able to access suitable education provision that meets their needs and supports their best possible outcomes.
As a Specialist Project Lead you will work alongside a Delivery Manager, an Organisation and Service Designer, and colleagues from across the Local Authority’s Education, Inclusion & Integration Service and the wider partnership including key stakeholders to transform Alternative Education Provision across North East Lincolnshire.
You’ll provide key education expertise and insight into the Education Sector and act as a key decision to enable this multi-disciplinary team to succeed, contributing to create a culture of learning and transparency. Your understanding of the Education landscape and ability to engage directly with School Leaders, professionals, parents, carers, children and young people is essential in being able to move the project at pace, and secure the right provision model for our children and young people to reach their potential.
Your day will involve you working with a multi-disciplinary team, colleagues within Education, Inclusion & Integration Services and other key stakeholders to balance viewpoints, understand experiences, and work collaboratively to establish a new Borough-wide model for Alternative Education Provision.
You will be working closely with the Project Sponsor, Delivery Manager and Service & Organisation Designer to lead and deliver a successful project, evaluating complex information from a variety of perspectives, and making key decisions around the education provision for our children and young people, keeping their best interests at the forefront of all decision-making.
Responsible to the Deputy Service Director – Inclusion, you will ensure Senior Education Leaders are well-versed in project developments and that, at all stages, commissioning of provision is compliant with expectations in legislation and Department for Education policy.
We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of the Education landscape, particularly alternative provision and exclusions, with first-hand experience of school leadership. You will be passionate about working with a wide array of stakeholders to facilitate systemic changes aimed at improving outcomes for our children and young people.
You will have excellent communication skills that enable you to quickly build relationships and trust with stakeholders and an ability to help individuals, teams and services to contribute effectively to the development of a new model of Alternative Education Provision.
You will be a persuasive and engaging communicator to help contribute to making sense of and finding solutions in the context of a complex operating environment.
Please read the Role Brief attached for more specifics around the responsibilities of this role.
Because this isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to deliver a project that will make a difference for children and young people across the borough. You’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team that values your ideas and your energy.
