A leading engineering company is seeking a Design Engineer to join its established department. This role offers the chance to contribute to the design and delivery of specialist filtration and strainer equipment used in demanding industries worldwide.
- Produce detailed designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, including 3D modelling.
- Support product development through advanced analysis tools such as FEA and CFD.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams on welding, piping, and materials specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and pressure vessel codes (ASME VIII, PD5500).
- Collaborate with project managers to deliver on-time, high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to documentation, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering (essential).
- GCSE Grade 5/C or higher in Maths & English.
- Strong AutoCAD skills; SolidWorks & 3D modelling experience desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding, piping, and materials.
- Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Professional presentation and reliability.
- Initiative, flexibility, and leadership qualities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
