Job summary

A growing engineering company in Corby is seeking a Junior/Design Engineer to join their team. You will create 3D models and 2D drawings, preparing layouts for manufacturing while ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong modelling skills in Inventor and experience with AutoCAD. Occasional customer site visits may be required. This role offers the opportunity to engage in various projects, fulfilling an essential part of product development.

Qualifications

• Experience designing machinery, sheet-metal parts, and/or machined components.
• Ability to work independently and manage changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Creating 3D models of components and assemblies using Inventor.
• Producing 2D drawings for laser cutting, welding, and assembly.
• Preparing AutoCAD LT layouts.
• Writing product manuals and technical documentation.
• Performing engineering calculations and finite element analysis.

Skills

3D modelling skills (Inventor or similar)

2D drafting experience (AutoCAD)

Confident engineering calculation ability
