A local government council in England seeks a PBS Practitioner to provide support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism. Responsibilities include undertaking Functional Assessments, developing Behaviour Support Plans, and fostering relationships with stakeholders. Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centred approach for providing long-term support to people with learning disabilities and autism, including those with mental health conditions, who display, or may be at risk of developing, behaviours of concern. The PBS Practitioner works in partnership with individuals to understand their life circumstances including physical and emotional needs, with the aim of developing physical and social environments that are supportive and capable of meeting people's needs. The PBS Practitioner works in partnership with other health and social care teams across Gloucestershire. This role involves using a strong knowledge of the PBS framework, undertaking Functional Assessments, and developing BSPs, while contributing to the development of the service. You will work as part of a team and on your own initiative, embrace new ways of thinking and working, and take up opportunities for professional and self-development.
