Join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Manchester as an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter. You’ll be working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with a generous basic salary and access to healthcare, training, and long-term progression within a respected commercial vehicle group. This is a modern, well-equipped site with a supportive team and opportunities to upskill through manufacturer and IRTEC-accredited training.
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
- Complete structural and chassis repairs including welding when required
- Ensure all work meets DVSA and manufacturer compliance standards
- Keep accurate service records and complete relevant documentation
- Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment
- Essential
- Experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter
- Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable
- HGV Class 1 licence
- IRTEC accreditation
