Qualifications

Job Title: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Salary: £20-£25ph

Shift: Can work just earlies or just lates or rotating earlies and lates

Type: Permanent

Location: Barking

We are looking for a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join our client, a fast growing and busy workshop in Barking.

Job Responsibilities:
  • You’ll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
  • You’ll work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.
  • You’ll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
  • You’ll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
  • You’ll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
  • Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
  • Valid Driving License
