Job summary
A leading healthcare recruitment agency is urgently seeking a Point of Care Associate Practitioner to work within the Western Trust at Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry / Londonderry. This full-time role supports Biomedical Scientist Point of Care Testing (POCT), requires strong laboratory experience, and offers a competitive hourly rate along with 28 days paid holiday and ongoing training. Ideal candidates will have relevant GCSEs and A Levels along with several years of laboratory experience.

Point of Care Associate Practitioner urgently required to work within the Western Trust located at Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry / Londonderry to support Biomedical Scientist Point of Care Testing (POCT).
These positions are full time only, Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm. This position is due to start on Monday 13th October 2025 for a period of 6 months minimum, with a possibility of extension. Hourly rate is £13.57 (Band 4), with evening, overtime, and weekend rates as required.
- 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) must include English Language and one science subject
- 2 A Levels (one as a science subject) with 1 year laboratory experience
- NVQ Level 3 in a Science related subject with 1 year laboratory experience
- Minimum of 4 years laboratory experience
- A minimum of 28 days paid holiday (pro rata)
