Overview

We are advertising for two vacancies: a 0.4 FTE maternity cover for 15 months and a 0.5 FTE fixed term contract for 36 months. Please specify which role you are applying for in your application.

About the Role

We seek a GP to join our dedicated team of academic educators committed to inspiring the next generation of the primary care workforce for a maternity cover. Supervised and supported by the CBME senior team, you will be expected to:

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the innovative design, review and delivery of CBME clinical placements, including materials and assessments and tutor training in line with our inclusive MBBS curriculum.
  • Take a key role in GP placement quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the wider MBBS & PA programmes through teaching, assessment, and citizenship.
  • Demonstrate scholarly potential through evaluation, research presentations, higher qualifications, and publications.
About You

You must hold a medical degree, MRCGP, be GMC registered and have recent GP experience. We would support candidates with a clear commitment to a career in medical education.

One of six Institutes forming the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, the Institute for Health Sciences Education (IHSE) is responsible for the delivery of the faculty's medical degree programmes.
