Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?

If so, Queen Katharine Academy would love to hear from you!

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our SEND team and play a key role in supporting students across the Academy.

Your role:

In this role, you will support students in their learning and development by promoting academic progress, encouraging independence, and nurturing their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing. You will work closely with the SENDCo and Assistant SENDCo to contribute to annual reviews, family meetings, and external referrals, while also helping to maintain accurate SEND records and the SEND Register.

You will assist in the development and implementation of EHCP outcomes and use data analysis to identify students who are underachieving, helping to create and deliver effective support plans. You’ll also provide guidance to staff on teaching strategies tailored to individual needs and work collaboratively to ensure inclusive practices are embedded across the curriculum.

A key part of your role will involve supporting the Access Arrangements Coordinator by liaising with staff, students, and external professionals to gather and maintain evidence for access arrangements. You will lead reading interventions, including their delivery, assessment, and monitoring.
