Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

Salary: £100–£130 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time, Part-Time

Start Date: ASAP

Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA ready to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant school community? The Education Network is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team and support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead whole-class teaching in the absence of a teacher
  • Deliver targeted interventions and small group support
  • Assist with lesson planning and curriculum delivery
  • Support pupils with SEND, EAL, and additional learning needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to enhance learning outcomes
Relevant Qualifications
  • Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience supporting teaching and learning
  • Confident in leading lessons and managing classroom behaviour
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
