Job Description

As the Senior Category Manager, you will:

• Design and implement a category strategy with the support of a team
• Review the incumbent supply base (relationships & performance) to ensure key metrics are aligned
• Conduct market analysis to gain industry knowledge and leverage negotiation strategies
• Assess, manage, and mitigate risks related to supply contracts and agreements
• Oversee a team of procurement professionals, encouraging their development and success
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance in the supply chain
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure business goals are met

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Category Manager should have:

• Proven track record within a similar role at a global level, ideally managing large spend portfolios (£100M+)
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage team performance effectively (building engagement and capability)
• Knowledge of key supply markets, ideally castings, machining, or electronics
• Effective communication skills to positively influence stakeholders and implement benefits at operating sites
