A leading chemical manufacturer in Brighton seeks a Procurement Manager to lead a small team and optimize procurement strategies. Applicants should have a CIPS qualification and experience in buying within a raw material chemical manufacturing context. This is a permanent role with a salary of £45,000 - £50,000, offering a discretionary bonus scheme and other benefits.

Title: Procurement Manager

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience)

SRG are working with a well-respected, global company who specialise in the creation of speciality chemicals for several different markets. Currently undergoing an exciting growth journey, they are now looking for a Procurement Manager to lead a small purchasing team and improve procurement strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to own and lead various procurement optimisation projects within the business!
Benefits: An opportunity to join a speciality chemicals company at an exciting time for the company. Discretionary bonus scheme, Xmas shutdown period, company pension amongst others. 37.5 hours per week, with an early finish on a Friday.
- Leading a small purchasing team internally
- Carrying out training, development and performance reviews of the team
- Understanding the current purchasing and stock management processes
- Identifying areas for improvement to increase efficiencies
- Using the internal ERP, and utilising the system to its full potential
- Managing the full procurement process for a range of speciality chemicals
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers
- Creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the suppliers
- Liaising with multiple departments in the business including Logistics and Sales.
- Recent CIPS qualification
- Proven recent experience as a Buyer in a raw material chemical manufacturer
- Able to be on site near Brighton 5 days a week
- A proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional service
- Willing and excited to implement positive change and process improvements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
