A leading construction solutions provider in Northern Ireland is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee production and quality across their operations. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in production and a solid understanding of operational management. This role offers a competitive salary between £45,000 and £50,000, along with a bonus and full company benefits, with growth potential into senior management positions. Local interviews will be held in early 2026.
Our client has grown to be one of the United Kingdom’s largest suppliers of building and construction steel reinforcement solutions for the forming, fixing, connecting and reinforcing of concrete within the Construction & Civil industry. This growth has increased the company’s turnover and its ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training and a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted, our client is now looking to succession‑plan for their operations in the Craigavon area.
This is a fundamental role in the company’s business strategy and requires individuals of an ambitious nature. The role will allow applicants to develop production control specifically in manpower, activity, health and safety and work schedules. Basic HR functions in terms of staff training and development, health and safety in a busy production environment as well as control and compliance of quality and quality standards are also included. This evolving role will give applicants real prospects to progress into a further senior management position. Operating across the whole production/manufacturing operation but with key focus on labour, manufacturing, H&S, MRP, quality, TQM and process improvement you will champion and develop each department. After a full and comprehensive induction into the business you will be responsible to the client’s senior team. The client provides products to all construction and civil contractors, house builders and design‑and‑build contractors. You will oversee the team leaders of the production, maintenance, H&S and quality teams which will include areas such as manufacture, production and fabrication, learning the skills necessary to progress in your career.
Suitable applicants must demonstrate a good understanding of operational, production and manufacturing management with supervisory and management experience, ideally with strong knowledge of production, H&S, quality, manpower and labour. Ideally the candidate will have experience in a production, construction or manufacturing environment and possess operational production/manufacturing and commercial skills and the motivation to succeed within this industry. Candidates should come from steel, heavy production, building product supply, production engineering, manufacturing, metals, heavy‑side product manufacture, production management or a technical/engineering business and be looking for a challenging new role. Applicants must demonstrate high levels of drive. The role requires an applicant who is both technically comfortable and can promote safe work practices and high‑quality standards.
Basic Salary £45-50K + bonus, full company benefits.
