We're seeking a passionate Consultant in Forensic Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to lead care in a nationally commissioned service--one of only four in England.
You'll work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, offering expert care to young people aged 11--18 with complex mental health needs. With access to cutting-edge facilities, including a Learning & Therapies Centre, gym, and outdoor spaces, you'll help create a safe, therapeutic environment that fosters recovery and growth.
This full-time post offers the chance to take on a Clinical Lead role, contribute to national referral pathways, and engage in teaching, research, and service development. We support your professional journey with CPD funding, mentoring, and a new consultant development programme.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a consultant forensic child and adolescent psychiatrist to join the existing team at Bluebird House. This is a full-time post with a potential to take up a leadership role as Clinical Lead for the unit.
Bluebird House is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team, with non-consultant medical staff (specialty doctor, resident doctor), psychology, occupational therapy, social worker, nursing and health-care support work provision. There are excellent links with community services such as school nursing, podiatry, dietetics, sexual health, substance misuse services as well as with secondary care services via University Hospital Southampton.
