Job summary
A leading automotive staffing provider is seeking a talented Lead Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their team in Skelmersdale. The role includes working efficiently in a busy accident repair center, leading the VDA team, and ensuring high standards of vehicle repairs. Ideal candidates will have a technical qualification and experience in managing teams. This position offers a basic salary of around £55,000 DOE and requires strong leadership abilities that support and develop team members.
Qualifications
- Served a recognised apprenticeship as a Vehicle Damage Assessor.
- Proven experience managing or leading a team in a busy body shop.
- Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.

- Provide leadership and support to the VDA team.
- Oversee and mentor junior team members.

Lead Vehicle Damage Assessor details:
- Basic Salary: CIRCA £55,000 DOE
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday (42.5 hours)
- Location: Skelmersdale
Talented and efficient Lead Vehicle Damage Assessor to join this leading team.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
- Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
- Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the VDA team, ensuring workflow, quality and productivity targets are consistently achieved
- Oversee and mentor junior team members, offering guidance and promoting best practice
- You will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Vehicle Damage Assessor and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA).
- You must have previous experience working as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within a busy body shop and have proven experience managing or leading a team.
- You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
- Must have previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, ideally be ATA qualified and have an up to date Audatex certificate.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to support, influence and develop others within the team.
