Contract IT Project Manager - Server Upgrades

VANRATH are recruiting a contract IT Project Manager for an organisation based in Greater Belfast. This exciting role involves Windows Server 2016 across multiple applications. It's an excellent opportunity to join one of NI's leading organisations and a longstanding client of VANRATH.

The role is hybrid working, anticipated to be for an initial duration of 6 months and full-time, 5 days per week. You will be reporting to an existing Programme Manager for outputs.

Remuneration:

This role will pay £450-500 per day (inside IR35).

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Running the project and ensuring that deadlines, budgets, resource needs are met, and deliverables are completed.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Coordinating internal resources and sometimes third parties/vendors for the seamless execution of projects.
• Communicating with customers in different roles and handling their varying expectations.
• Assessing risks to project time, quality, and scope, and developing contingencies/mitigation strategies with project stakeholders.
• Managing project budget, including revenue recognition and invoicing tasks in coordination with the Finance Department.
• Constantly monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project to all stakeholders.

The Ideal Person:

• A master's, bachelor's or equivalent degree.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven work experience in IT project management in a commercial environment.
• Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Previous experience utilising a project methodology (e.g. PRINCE2 or other similar methodologies).
• Holding an ITIL foundation certificate.
