Job summary
A respected legal company in Kettering is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their finance team. This full-time permanent role involves processing invoices, handling VAT returns, managing payroll, and ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a legal firm and strong numerical accuracy. The position offers a salary starting from £35,000, 31 days of annual leave, and a supportive environment for professional growth.

- Processing supplier invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
- Handling VAT returns, bill posting, and interest calculations.
- Managing payroll, month-end, and year-end duties.
- Responding to general account queries and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Skills
Our client, a respected legal company based in Kettering, is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their finance team. This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday 8.45am 5pm.
This is a key role supporting the account s function and ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
- Processing supplier invoices, payments, and bank reconciliation's
- Handling VAT returns, bill posting, and interest calculations
- Managing payroll, month-end, and year-end duties
- Responding to general account queries and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Proven experience as a Legal Cashier within a legal firm
- Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
- Excellent attention to detail and high numerical accuracy
- Able to work independently and as part of a busy, deadline-driven team
- Salary from £35,000, depending on experience
- 31 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with service
