Job summary
A leading recruitment firm in the United Kingdom is looking for an Assistant Accountant to handle various financial duties, including processing expense claims and supporting SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience with VAT compliance, and proficiency in MS Excel. Responsibilities will also include performing reconciliations and preparing bi-monthly VAT returns. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Qualifications
- Experience with expense claims processing and purchase ledger management.
- Ability to prepare BACS runs and perform P&L analysis.
- Demonstrated success in managing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Process expense claims and post expenses to the purchase ledger monthly.
- Prepare BACS runs twice monthly including collation, approval, and payment.
- Manage overseas accounts and bi-monthly VAT returns.
