Senior Software Engineer - Data & Backend - Up to £600/day outside IR35

LegalTech | Remote (UK) | Python | GCP | Data Pipelines | Event-Based Solutions

We are helping a seed-funded LegalTech startup build their MVP. They need a Data-Focused Senior Software Engineer passionate about building data pipelines and backend systems using Python. Location: Remote (UK Only)

Contract details: Outside IR35, Up to £600/day, 3 months (possible extension)

As a Software Engineer on this project, you will:

1. Design and build data pipelines in Python and GCP
2. Deliver high-performance backend systems
3. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure scalability

Responsibilities include:

• Building backend services and data pipelines from scratch
• Architecting event-driven solutions in GCP with Pub/Sub and Cloud Run
• Developing and optimizing Python code for robust backend systems
• Integrating APIs, enriching data, and delivering scalable data pipelines
• Implementing modern IaC practices for deployment and automation

Ideal candidates will have:

• Expertise in Python, GCP, and building complex data pipelines
• Strong understanding of IaC tools, specifically Terraform
• A startup mindset: adaptable, collaborative, and product-focused
• Experience designing and building platforms from scratch
