BMS Bureau Engineer

VIGO Recruitment is working with a leading BMS company to hire a skilled BMS Bureau Engineer for a remote position, offering flexibility while providing the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technologies and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building management systems, with a focus on remote monitoring and support, and be proficient in the setup, troubleshooting, and optimisation of BMS systems.

Your Role

As a BMS Bureau Engineer, you will be responsible for remotely monitoring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting BMS systems for multiple clients. You’ll work closely with the client support team and field engineers to ensure systems are operating efficiently, providing technical expertise and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remote Monitoring and Support:
    • Proactively monitor BMS systems remotely, identifying potential issues before they impact performance.
    • Respond to client queries and technical issues, providing timely resolutions.
    • Diagnose and resolve BMS system faults remotely, including software configuration and hardware issues.
  • System Optimisation and Updates:
    • Perform remote system diagnostics, software updates, and configuration changes.
    • Carry out remote tweaks and optimisations to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Client Communication:
    • Act as a point of contact for clients, providing clear, concise updates and technical support.
    • Work with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Keep accurate records of troubleshooting activities, solutions provided, and system performance.
    • Provide detailed reports and analysis on system performance and service calls.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience working with BMS systems, ideally in a remote monitoring capacity.
  • Solid understanding of BMS software and systems, including Trend, Tridium, Siemens, or other major BMS platforms.
  • Experience with diagnostics and remote troubleshooting of BMS systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and associated technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with clients and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
  • A valid UK driving licence (for occasional on‑site visits, if required).
