Job summary

A leading legal firm in Southampton is seeking a highly motivated Criminal Solicitor to join their team. The role involves advising clients in criminal matters and managing a diverse caseload. Candidates should have a strong background in criminal law, preferably with duty accreditation, and excellent communication skills. Both full and part-time positions are available, with salary dependent on qualifications and experience. Travel to client meetings and court appearances will be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years PQE in criminal law.
  • Duty Solicitor accreditation preferred but not essential.
  • Valid Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and represent clients in criminal matters.
  • Manage a diverse caseload and conduct thorough legal research.
  • Draft legal documents including witness statements and pleadings.
  • Prepare cases by gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
