A local police force in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced professional to lead the transformation across their Enabling Services Crime Command and Local Policing Areas. The role involves managing the change team activities and ensuring legal compliance during restructuring processes. Strong employee relations skills and experience working with trade unions are essential. This position plays a vital role in maintaining operational effectiveness during the transition to new business processes as part of the ongoing transformation in Gloucestershire.
Gloucestershire Constabulary is undertaking a significant transformation across Enabling Services Crime Command and Local Policing Areas, which includes cultural, continuous improvement and structural changes.
Support the Head of Functions in finalising the design and sequencing of the restructure, manage and coordinate the change team activities, and complete role design and detailed plans for new and replacement roles within the functions.
Lead the design of business processes across the new model, working closely with stakeholders to ensure transitionary plans and processes are in place to maintain business as usual through the change and restructuring. Work with operational stakeholders to ensure ‘change readiness’ and successful transition to new ways of working. Strong employee relations skills, experience of working with trade unions and staff associations, including leading collective consultation processes, and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, building successful relationships and deploying strong influencing skills at all levels.
