The successful candidate will provide HR advice across all aspects of the employee lifecycle and will have a Level 3 certificate in HR practice or equivalent. Ideal candidates should have HR generalist experience and a solid understanding of employment law, demonstrating a proactive approach to personal development.
An exciting opportunity is available as part of our expanding HR team at the University of Chester to work 14 hours per week, on a fixed term contract basis to 27th September 2026.
As HR Adviser you will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of HR advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on the full employee lifecycle.
Due to the changing landscape of the Higher Education sector and consequently the challenges this brings in relation to people management practices, you must be able to build and maintain credibility as an HR professional, whilst operating within a consistently demanding environment.
You should have a level 3 certificate in HR practice (or near to completion) or equivalent HR qualification, with experience working as an HR generalist within a busy HR environment. Practical up to date knowledge of employment law and equal opportunities legislation are essential. We are looking for an individual with a proactive approach to continuous personal/professional development with the ability to prioritise their own workload within the role.
We encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants.
