What does this Care Assistant job involve?

Hours of Work:37.5 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 08:00 - 20:00

Our skilled carers provide assistance with activities of daily living ensuring that our clients receive the care they need in the comfort of their own homes.

Our client requires a carer to help assist him with:

• Moving and handling
• Daily tasks - domestic duties etc.
• Socialising - visiting the cinema, gym and his family
• Administering medication
• Personal care

Medcom is hiring a care assistant for a friendly and active Irish man with a spinal cord injury. Despite his injury, which he's had for many years, he remains highly independent, spontaneous, and busy. He leads an active lifestyle and is looking for a care assistant who can support him in his daily activities while respecting his independence.

He has a car he uses for daily trips out, therefore he will need a carer who can drive. This role will suit someone who enjoys a physical and active role as the client transfers frequently.
