A leading educational institution in the UK is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager for a 12-month fixed term. You will lead the development of health and safety strategies across various campuses, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a safety culture. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in health and safety, hold a relevant degree, and be a Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards it. This role includes overseeing risk management and emergency preparedness, training programs, and stakeholder engagement.

The post - Health & Safety Manager
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead the development and delivery of UWS's health and safety strategy across all campuses. This key role will ensure compliance with legislation, promote a strong safety culture, and provide expert guidance to staff, students, contractors, and visitors. Working closely with the Head of Estates & Sustainability, the post holder will have strategic and operational responsibility for health and safety planning, policy implementation, and the management of a diverse team of professionals. The successful candidate will oversee risk management, compliance monitoring, and emergency preparedness, while also leading training programmes and engaging with stakeholders across the University. With responsibility for campus-specific safety oversight, committee reporting, and external liaison with regulatory bodies, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence health and safety practices at an institutional level.
