Senior Practitioner

The Cared for Children service at Tameside is seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Practitioner.

The role will involve direct case management oversight of a reduced caseload of cared for children, some of whom will have complex circumstances and needs, ensuring that their holistic needs are met consistently.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

1. Deliver reflective group supervision within the service.
2. Supervise ASYE Social Workers in the team, typically limited to 1 person.
3. Support the Team Manager in addressing performance or practice deficits through motivating the team and delivering shared learning and training as required.
4. Provide support to team members through advice, guidance, and occasional co-working.

Applicants must have significant experience working in a cared for children service.

The office is based in Ashton Under Lyne, and staff are expected to work in the office 3 days per week, according to service needs.
