Job Title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness – flexible and hybrid working arrangements available; discuss options with your recruiter.

Responsibilities:

1. Complete DSEAR risk assessments and ensure compliance activities.
2. Mentor and develop junior engineers.
3. Review and develop explosion safety strategies.
4. Create and update process and policy documentation for the site.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Experience in explosion safety engineering, hazard analysis, and hazard identification.
2. Proficient in DSEAR risk assessment production.
3. Strong understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC).
4. Degree in a STEM discipline.
5. Experience with COMAH safety case support, site asset protection, and fire safety engineering.
