We are currently seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead a new male medium secure ward for working-age men, an important part of our well-established secure care pathway.

About the Role As Responsible Clinician for the male medium secure ward, you will lead the assessment and treatment of working-age men with complex mental health needs in a secure environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical leadership and oversight of care plans.
• Working closely with the MDT to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Driving service development and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
• Supporting innovation and influencing the future of secure mental health care.
• You will also have the opportunity to develop specialist interests and pursue leadership roles regionally and nationally.

• Person Specification Essential criteria:
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• MRCPsych or equivalent.
• CCT in Forensic Psychiatry, General Adult Psychiatry, or Old Age Psychiatry (or within six months of completion).
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
