An exciting opportunity has arisen to join De Montfort University as the Head of Change and Continuous Improvement.
Based within the universities Transformation Office, and reporting to the Associate Director of Portfolio, Change and Improvement, you will be the University’s lead expert on Continuous Improvement, and will be responsible for managing the Continuous Improvement Team.
You will ensure a strong focus on the realisation of business benefits from the investment of university resources into continuous improvement and business change initiatives. You will play a key role in building the universities capability in managing business change, and realizing cashable and non-cashable benefits.
This role will also be responsible for embedding the Continuous Improvement Champions Network within all Faculties and Directorates. It will also be responsible for leading the internal programme of Continuous Improvement training for DMU staff.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional who thrives on driving positive change and continuous improvement. You will hold a relevant Continuous Improvement qualification such as Six Sigma or LEAN, and a Change Management qualification such as APMG Change Management—or demonstrate significant experience in a senior change management role.
You will bring significant experience in leading and delivering business change and continuous improvement strategies and services,with a proven track record of achieving measurable improvements in service outcomes. You will have the knowledge and experience to be able to translate strategic priorities into effective, relevant, and high-impact continuous improvement programmes of work.
The Head of Change and Continuous Improvement will be an analytical thinker and a natural problem solver, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation. You will have management experience and have successfully led a Continuous Improvement team, championing innovative approaches to process enhancement and cultural transformation.
