This role involves assisting adults with learning disabilities in achieving their goals, providing emotional support, and promoting independence. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals to achieve their own personal goals, aims and ambitions. The support you provide will vary because everyone is different. Responsibilities may include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, supporting leisure, employment, individual interests and travel. This can be rewarding, but also challenging and demanding. You may support people in their own home or out in the community.
