A leading retail company in Sunbury-on-Thames is seeking a Customer Assistant for the Bakery section. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining high hygiene standards, and engaging with customers about bakery products. Ideal candidates are passionate about baking, flexible, and capable of working well in a team. The position offers various working hours including evenings and weekends.

Working Pattern:
Sunday- 12:00-18:00
Thursday- 05:00-12:30
Friday- 05:00-12:30
To comply with health and safety legislation and keep our colleagues safe in the workplace, colleagues in this role must be 18 years of age or older.
Please note that the + £3.00 p/h unsocial premium is only added on any hours worked between 22:00-06:00

You'll be a brand ambassador who's ready to recommend our delicious bakery products. Through remarkable service you'll make sure our customers feel truly valued every time they shop with us.

Purpose

Key Accountabilities
Serve our customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points
Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring that our shelves are always stocked with product
Monitor and deliver on the daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities
Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service throughout their visit to store.
Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services
We'll give you the training to utilise all digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer every time
