An established distribution company in Birmingham seeks an Interim Finance Director to support the Managing Director in restructuring efforts and business management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in privately owned low margin businesses and strong skills in cashflow management, management reporting, and budgetary control. Experience in the distribution sector and VC-backed businesses is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience as a Finance Director in distribution or transport.
- Knowledge of working in privately owned low margin businesses.
- Experience in VC-backed businesses is a plus.
Responsabilités
- Assist the Managing Director with ongoing restructure.
- Manage business operations moving forward.
- Represent the company with major stakeholders.
Connaissances
Interim Finance Director required for established Distribution business to assist MD with ongoing restructure and management of business moving forward. The role will require an experienced FD who has knowledge of working in privately owned low margin businesses and who can represent the company with all major stakeholders.
Experience in the distribution / transport sector will be highly beneficial together with a wide knowledge of cashflow management, management reporting and budgetary control. The role will require tenacity, dedication and an understanding of change management.
Experience in VC backed businesses will also be beneficial.
