About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the preparation of statutory accounts. This position is on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare information for internal, external, and statutory reports and accounts.
• Perform daily financial processes and maintain effective controls.
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for changes to accounting systems and controls.
• Maintain your professional development and competence.
• Adhere to deadlines and schedules.

Skills and Experience

• Basic knowledge of accounting and finance.
• Studying towards an accounting qualification is desirable.
• Basic accounting experience with proficiency in Excel and computer literacy.
• Excellent computer literacy skills.
• Good data management and analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
