The Team: You will be joining the Broadcast Projects team. We are a group of specialists dedicated to delivering high-quality technical infrastructure that powers our world-class radio and video brands. Our team sits at the heart of our technical evolution, ensuring our studios and production environments are equipped with the most resilient and innovative technology available.

Your Role: Reporting to the Lead Broadcast Projects Engineer, you will be the key player in bridging the gap between traditional broadcast and IT networking. This role offers the exciting opportunity to design, integrate, and commission an end-to-end IP media solution that supports live broadcast, news, and production environments across our iconic brands.

Day to day you will:

  • Switch Management: Install and configure Arista switches for media over IP applications.
  • Multicast Management: Troubleshoot IGMP Snooping, querying, and PIM configurations.
  • IP Orchestration: Implement and maintain PTP (Precision Time Protocol) to ensure audio and video synchronization across the network.
  • SMPTE ST2110 / 2022-7: Configure and manage SMPTE 2110 multicast flows (Audio, Video, Metadata) using NMOS IS‑04/05.
  • Troubleshooting & Validation: Troubleshoot complex technical challenges within the IP infrastructure to maintain broadcast continuity.
  • Systems Integration & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT networking teams to align broadcast requirements with enterprise network standards.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Proficiency in designing and deploying IP-based media solutions within a live production environment, including SMPTE ST 2110 and SMPTE ST 2022‑6/7.
  • Experience in project delivery within a broadcast environment.
  • Deep understanding of IT networking principles as they apply to broadcast technology, specifically Cisco and Arista CLI.
  • Knowledge of NMOS (IS‑04/IS‑05) for device management and connection management.
  • Technical familiarity with streaming platforms and protocols such as SRT, HLS, and NDI.
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into functional system designs.
  • Effective communication skills to work across different technical departments.
  • A proactive approach to learning and implementing emerging broadcast technologies.
  • Self‑motivated with strong time‑keeping and organisational skills.
