A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a successful SME in Huddersfield. This new role involves assisting with financial management, preparing monthly statements, and supporting payroll functions. Ideal candidates will be AAT qualified or working towards CIMA/ACCA, with experience in transactional finance. This Assistant Accountant position is a newly created role that will report into a personal, friendly and supportive Finance Manager who is willing to offer further month end training to someone who is driven, helpful and eager to learn.
Whilst also incorporating transactional finance duties, along with payroll down the line as there are plans to bring this in-house, the successful person will gain exposure to the full month end process.
This role would suit someone who is AAT qualified, or working towards their ACCA or CIMA studies, has experience of working within transactional finance and someone who has gained exposure to parts of the month end process - ideally accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations as a minimum.
