Overview

Energy Sales Consultant / B2B Business Development Sales Executive who has a solid sales background within a B2B sales environment is required to join our Team at Northern Gas and Power. ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED – FULL PRODUCT AND SALES TRAINING PROVIDED. If you have experience in the Energy Sector, then great. If not, don’t worry. This isn’t essential, providing you’re willing to learn about the industry as we’ll provide full training and support to get you up to speed.

Salary: £25,000 - £50,000 per annum + Uncapped Commission + Benefits

Location: Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, North East England

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

What exactly will you do?
  • As a Corporate Sales Consultant / Energy Sales Consultant / B2B Business Development Sales Executive you’ll engage in activities such as:
    • Cold calling potential clients and explaining the benefits of using NGP’s services and solutions – this is a B2B role.
    • Question their current procurement strategy and determine the customer’s current purchasing strategy and find ways to improve it.
    • Tender preparations and supplier negotiations. Once you’ve generated the lead, you will work effectively with your closer who will prepare tenders to our panel of 87 international energy suppliers and negotiate the best procurement contract for your clients.
    • Manage client relationships as the single point of contact – monitoring your pipeline for renewal or further business opportunities.
    • You must comply with all policies & procedures.
  • You will receive a thorough onboarding process with full industry and sales training to onboard your first client, after which you’ll be equipped to develop and manage your own client portfolio.
  • Enjoy a great deal of independence in organising your time and work schedule.

  • Experience working in the Energy Sector (not essential)
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills – professional and articulate
  • Ability to work under pressure when needed and achieve sales targets
