Job summary
A leading facilities management firm in the UK is seeking a skilled electrician to perform a variety of commercial electrical installations and maintenance tasks. The role involves working within diverse LV electrical systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Successful candidates will hold NVQ Level 3 and the 18th Edition qualification, demonstrating a strong customer care focus and good health and safety awareness. This position offers the opportunity to work on-site, supporting service delivery to the highest standards.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical or C&G 2382-18 required.
- Experience in 3 phase and single phase electrical installations preferred.
- Strong customer care focus and awareness of health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Assist Contract Manager in service management and co-ordination.
- Conduct minor surveys and inspections.
Skills
Education
You will form part of the on site team and be responsible for carrying out a wide range of commercial electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding and reactive repairs to the various LV electrical systems on site. You will also carry out a multitude of other service tasks unrelated to your primary trade at mentioned locations. Main duties Assist Contract Manager in organisation, management and co-ordination of on-site services to ensure service is maintained to the highest standard in all circumstances
- Ability to carry out minor surveys and inspections
- Simple Report writing is essential to the role.
- Achieve contract SLA/KPI in all reactive / planned work orders across all service lines for the contract site.
- To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time
- To learn, understand and comply with Client policies and procedures
- To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner, using point of work risk assessments where required.
- To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
- To attend and fully participate in training and the annual review / appraisal process as required
- To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
- To ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and to assist in any training of the team.
- If requested, to assist with the monitoring and supervision of subcontractors on a day to day basis, including apprentices. This to include assisting with the processing and completion of college reports if required.
- To perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on all associated water services equipment, including fault diagnostics and repair.
- Participate in adherence to Quality System documentation.
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical or C&G 2382-18
- 18th Edition BS 7671
- Experience in 3 phase and single phase Electrical Installations & Repair, motors, pumps and some controls are desirable
- Competent LV Electrical installation and maintenance excluding testing
- City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications
- Strong customer care focus
- Good Health and Safety awareness and knowledge
- Full and Clean driving Licence
- Ability to work at heights is advantageous
- Smart in appearance
