The Management Accountant role in the GPA is vital for ensuring transactions are accurately recorded, producing management information, forecasts, and supporting business and GPA clients in decision-making.

Working across a diverse portfolio of projects and overheads, the post holder will build key relationships, ensure accurate management accounting, and provide analysis and interpretation to stakeholders.

The role contributes to fostering a culture of strong financial management within GPA.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facilitating forecasting and reporting
2. Producing management accounts for relevant budget holders
3. Generating financial reports for corporate stakeholders and GPA clients
4. Supporting internal and external audits
5. Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments
6. Investigating variances, ensuring transaction accuracy, and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data
7. Supporting payroll, staff costs, ad-hoc recharging, and purchase-to-pay processes
8. Preparing and processing journals
9. Undertaking additional responsibilities relevant to the role and grade
