Responsibilities

  • Prepare payment runs for approval.
  • Investigate and post AP invoices and credit notes.
  • Support and post AR invoices working with sales teams.
  • Monitor shared finance email inboxes for timely replies.
  • Raise and maintain PO orders in SAP.
  • Support month-end tasks like balance reconciliation.
  • Ensure ERP system is updated with new customer and supplier setups.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as directed.

Why work for us?

We currently have a great opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our small Finance team in Rawtenstall to provide a professional accounting service in the provision of accurate, timely reporting and to provide accounting support to the production facility.

  • Preparation of payment runs for approval.
  • Investigate and post AP invoices or credit notes as required, and supporting centralised AP function offshore.
  • Support and post AR invoices or credit notes as required, working with Sales team on‑site and centralised AR function offshore.
  • Monitor shared finance email inboxes and ensure replies are done in a timely manner.
  • Raise and maintain PO orders in SAP and receipting them as they are completed, to support centralised AP function offshore.
  • Support Finance department with month‑end tasks such as reconciliation of AP & AR balances, and inputting required manually stock adjustments.
  • Ensure SAP ERP system is up to date with new customer and supplier setup applications.
  • Perform other ad‑hoc duties when required and directed by the organisation.

Qualifications / Experience
  • A comfortable IT user with use of excel skills, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Self‑motivated and deadline orientated with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – effectively engaging with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • SAP B1 system or any other ERP system experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment desirable.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Good mathematical andanalytical skills.
