To help VWV adhere to and avoid breaches of the UK Sanctions Regime, it is crucial to ensure full compliance by conducting thorough checks against sanctions lists, identifying potential risks, and collaborating with various teams. For this reason, we are recruiting a newly created role to support us on a full-time basis. As the Compliance Administrator, your responsibilities include updating internal systems with search results, maintaining a sanctions checks register, and continuously monitoring checks against sanctions lists. Additionally, you'll assist with various compliance queries as needed.
This role is essential in ensuring our firm complies with regulatory standards and avoids breaches related to sanctions and politically exposed persons (PEPs). You will conduct thorough checks, analyze results, and coordinate with teams to maintain compliance. You will use our external Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) platform for screenings and perform manual sanction checks against relevant lists and databases to ensure no risks are overlooked. Your ability to review and analyze screening results to identify potential matches will be vital.
You will organize and extract reports from the external EDD platform and deliver results. When potential sanctions matches are identified, you will escalate these to the appropriate fee earners for further investigation. Coordination is key, as you will chase and obtain outstanding information from fee earners to progress checks efficiently.
Accurate record-keeping is vital. You will manage spreadsheets of results, updating the register of results, dates, and the Intapp Open system. Ongoing monitoring of external sanctions and PEP screenings will also be part of your role.
If you are eager to add value to VWV, we encourage you to apply.
