A leading healthcare provider in Dawlish seeks a Medical Secretary to join their FIND team. The role involves providing administrative support, maintaining electronic records, managing diaries, and acting as a point of contact. Candidates should be experienced administrators with strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication abilities. Part-time and flexible working options are available.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the FIND team (Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Service) within the Devon Community Forensic Service at one of the country’s most respected providers of secure mental health services. The FIND service delivers a care pathway for adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism and/or Acquired Brain Injury, with the aim of optimizing length of stay and the care pathway, reducing out-of-area or specialist placements, and supporting the use of South West network beds. The FIND team provides a Peninsula-wide service for Cornwall, Devon and the Isles of Scilly, who may have placements in local services but may have been transferred out of their home area to hospitals across the country. The office base is at Langdon Hospital, Dawlish. The opportunity is to join this inspiring service as a Medical Secretary within our Community Forensic Services.
You will be a core member of a multidisciplinary team, supporting the administrative functions within the service, including maintaining up-to-date electronic records, acting as an initial point of contact for the team, coordinating and taking minutes of meetings, and maintaining diaries.
We recruit based on qualifications and behaviours that underpin our Trust’s core values, including commitment to quality of care, improving lives, and treating people with respect, dignity and compassion.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer. Applications are encouraged from all sections of the community, regardless of protected characteristics as governed by the Equality Act 2010. Part-time and flexible working will be considered where possible. We particularly encourage applicants with lived experience of mental health conditions, neurodiversity or learning disabilities. We are a Disability Confident Leader.
About Devon Partnership Trust: We provide mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity services, along with a range of specialist and secure services for the wider South West region and nationally. We are dedicated to developing a culture of coproduction, involving patients, families and carers in everything we do.
