Essential criteria
To ensure that we provide world-class patient care, UHCW recruits people who can demonstrate the Trust's Values and Behaviours in their everyday life. If invited to interview, you will undertake a Values Based Interview/Assessment to explore what you do, how and why you do it. Review the Trust's Values and Behaviours on the right side of the page under the job description. The Supporting Information Section should reflect your understanding of these values, with examples from work experience and/or personal life.
The Trust is committed to Equal Opportunities within the workplace. All vacancies will be considered for Job Share unless otherwise stated. All applicants who have a disability and who meet the minimum criteria for the job will be interviewed. In cases of high application volumes, random selection may be used to reduce numbers to interview; disabled applicants may be guaranteed an interview and exempt from this process.
In submitting an application, you authorise the Trust to confirm previous NHS and other employer details via NHS Electronic Staff Record and third-party systems for employment record purposes if appointed.
UHCW NHS Trust is committed to reducing environmental impact through its Green Plan (e.g., aiming for zero waste to landfill, reducing carbon footprint, increasing recycling and reuse).
If you are successful at interview you will receive a conditional offer and will be asked for information to carry out pre-employment checks. You must complete all checks to progress to a final unconditional offer.
We will verify identity and right to work in the UK. You may be asked to submit documents via a secure digital platform (TrustID) or attend in person with originals.
Depending on your exposure to patients, you may be required to undertake a Standard or Enhanced DBS check. The cost will be charged to you and deducted from your salary over the first 3 months at the current rate.
All correspondence will be sent by email; please check regularly including Junk/SPAM folders.
