Job description
Overview

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for 2 x highly motivated Junior Clinical Fellows. The posts are for a 12-month fixed term, with a possibility of a further 1-year extension within Integrated Sexual Health to work alongside a dynamic team of sexual health professionals at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

Role and location

This post would be suitable for those wishing to pursue a career in Sexual Health services or General Practice. The post is primarily outpatient based in genitourinary medicine and contraception clinics at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage unselected patients presenting with a variety of sexual health needs in outpatient clinics.
  • Contribute to the sexual health strategy in line with National Strategies and Kent Public Health priorities, including meeting accessibility targets and population health goals.
Training and supervision

There will be training opportunities to further develop knowledge and skills under the supervision of senior staff.

Strategic goals

The successful applicant will contribute to our sexual health strategy in line with national strategies and local priorities, including: ending HIV transmission (UK 2030 Zero HIV Transmission), increasing Chlamydia testing in those aged < 25 years, and reducing unplanned pregnancy through availability of LARC contraception.
