We have an opportunity for a Clinical Specialist - Pelvic Health to join their team of staff in the Outpatients Physiotherapy Department.

This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis. You will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role
  • Undertake expert assessment and treatment of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary/fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pre/postnatal conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop individualised, evidence-based treatment plans, including internal assessment, biofeedback, manual therapy, and exercise rehabilitation.
  • Act as the clinical lead for pelvic health physiotherapy, ensuring service quality, consistency, and alignment with best practice.
  • Develop and implement clinical pathways, patient education materials, and outcome measures.
  • Work closely with urogynaecologists, colorectal surgeons, obstetricians, continence nurses, and other allied health professionals.
  • Deliver specialist training, supervision, and mentorship to physiotherapists, students, and wider healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in accordance with HCPC, CSP, and organisational policies.
  • Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and maintain up-to-date knowledge in pelvic health research and clinical practice.
Applicants should meet the following criteria
  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Extensive post-registration experience in women's, men's, and pelvic health physiotherapy.
  • Recognised postgraduate training in pelvic health or continence physiotherapy.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment skills.
  • Experience in service development, teaching, or supervision.
