Job Description:
About the role:
We’re looking for a driven, results-oriented Sales Development Representative to join our team at Carbon Responsible.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, responsible for generating and fully qualifying leads, driving clients to our website and building strong relationships with prospects. You’ll work very closely with our Commercial Director to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads and contribute to the development of our pipeline.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a similar sales development role and a strong ability to manage multiple outreach efforts on a targeted basis. If you’re someone who thrives on reaching and exceeding targets, enjoys initiating conversations with potential clients, and is eager to contribute to a company that is making a real difference, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fully Qualifying Leads: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), ensuring a steady flow of opportunities for the team.
- Lead Handoff & Collaboration: Smoothly hand qualified leads over to the Commercial Director, providing the necessary context to help close deals effectively.
- Pipeline Management: Build and manage a strong, sustainable lead pipeline, with appropriate forward contact scheduling.
- Proposal & Presentation Support: Assist in creating tailored proposals and presentations that clearly communicate the benefits of our offerings to prospective clients.
- Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to refine campaigns and messaging, ensuring alignment with client needs and business goals.
- CRM Management & Reporting: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact schedule and forward actions.
- Prospecting Lists: Create and maintain lists of decision-makers within target accounts, ensuring all contact data is accurate and compliant for effective outreach.
Skills & Experience:
- Organised: The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced start-up environment and focus on what will deliver the most value to the business.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills to manage complex workstreams and ensure accuracy, particularly when it comes to CRM data and lead tracking.
- Self-Motivated: A proactive individual who can identify new opportunities and contribute to business growth without constant direction.
- Team Player: A collaborative individual who thrives in a small, flat organisation, willing to help colleagues across teams achieve shared goals.
- Proven Success: A track record of achieving or exceeding targets in lead generation or sales roles, with clear evidence of success.
What we offer:
- Competitive base salary with performance-based commission subject to achievement of agreed targets.
- Access to private medical care.
- Modern office located in central London, offering lots of complimentary snacks.
- Hybrid working model for flexibility and work-life balance.
- Collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Clear career progression opportunities.
- Access to professional development through training, events, and mentorship.
- Quarterly team-building activities.
- Flat organisational structure where all ideas are valued and encouraged.
