Biology Teacher (Maternity Cover) – January 2026 – Surrey

Contract: Full time (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £34,397 – £52,489 per annum (depending on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join a thriving and high-achieving secondary school community from January 2026. • Teach Biology across KS3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Combined Science where appropriate.
• Deliver engaging, practical, and thought-provoking lessons that spark curiosity about the natural world.
• Use effective assessment to inform teaching and support all students to make excellent progress.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of an innovative, knowledge-rich Science curriculum.
• Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives, enrichment clubs, and curriculum development projects.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has strong subject expertise in Biology.
• Is enthusiastic, creative, and committed to inspiring a lifelong love of science in young people.
• Can demonstrate effective classroom management and a reflective, collaborative approach to teaching.
