Job description
About The Role
"If you are looking for a proactive and flexible way of supporting the work of Alzheimer’s Society, then we’d love to hear from you!"

Throughout the year we hold many exciting community events which help us to continue our work supporting everyone affected by dementia. By volunteering at these events you will be helping us to ensure that everyone who attends has a great experience and leaves feeling passionate about our cause.

You could help at a one-off event or choose to support at several events in your local area throughout the year.

You may be supporting fundraising activity at events, for example holding collection buckets or selling merchandise. You might be helping to raise awareness about dementia and our services, for example handing out flyers or you could be meeting and greeting attendees.

We're looking for someone to be available for cheque presentations, events and fundraisers on a casual basis within the Pembrokeshire area. Because of the geographic size of the county, some travel may be required, so a driving license is essential.
This volunteering opportunity will be on an ad hoc basis to fill the Society's needs.

Interested? To apply for this role please click on the "Apply" button at the bottom of the page.

You’ll be great for the role if:

  • You are friendly, welcoming and enjoy being part of a team.
  • You enjoy engaging with people and speaking confidently with them.
  • Are flexible and willing to take on a variety of different tasks as needed.
  • Are looking for a fun, flexible way of supporting the work of Alzheimer’s Society.
  • Are over the age of 16.

If you find completing online applications difficult, please don't let this stop you from applying....please call or email us and we can support you with the application process. You can contact the Volunteering Recruitment Team by emailing volunteering@alzheimers.org.uk or call on 0300 222 5706.

About Alzheimer's Society

About Alzheimer’s Society

By 2025, an estimated 1 million people will be living with the condition in the UK, and many millions more carers, partners, families and friends will be affected.

  • Providing flexible support services so that people with dementia, their carers and loved ones, can access expert advice and guidance, support through their most challenging days, and a safe space to turn when they need it.
  • Being a force for change - using research and influencing to push for breakthroughs that will change the lives of people affected by dementia now and in future.

Our Values

Determined to make a difference: We're passionate, we're focused and we make a lasting impact for people affected by dementia.
